The Basics of Growing Marijuana Indoors

1. Lighting

2. Temperature

The optimum temperature for germination of hemp seeds is +12 C, and for growth and vegetation +20-30 C. Cold room temperatures will inhibit germination, growth, and fruit formation. Low temperatures can lead to mold growth.

It is necessary to water marijuana only with warm filtered water. Cold water shocks the plant and can cause stress. This will stop the growth of the bush.

3. Substrate for indoor growing

The best soil for indoors is a mixture of drainage 10%, black earth 80% and coconut fiber 10%. The best option for growing will be a purchased substrate. In it, as a rule, there are no bacteria and microelements that can provoke diseases. The drainage base will provide good air exchange, and also will not form stagnant water. Coconut fiber is an excellent conductor of moisture and reduces the risk of root diseases.

Cannabis is a photophilous plant, and also likes a lot of space. The capacity for germination should be at least 10 liters.

The material marijuana pot plays a big role. for example, plastic containers are used quite often: they are inexpensive and can be designed to provide good drainage. However, they are not very durable. Ceramic and terracotta plant pots are a great long-lasting option. These pots help regulate temperature but often have poor drainage.

Growing pots made from hemp cloth are getting everyone's attention these days. Although these containers are made of thick fabric, they hold plants and soil very well. Provide excellent aeration and drainage. However, they may be subject to more wear and tear than other containers.
