Psilocybe cubensis Hawaii spore prints are popular worldwide for their high yields and beginner-friendly characteristics.
This strain aggressively colonizes substrates, tolerates minor temperature fluctuations, and is highly resistant to mold.
Even novice mycologists can expect impressive results.
The mushrooms Psilocybe Cubensis Hawaii produce an abundance of spores, making it possible for skilled ethnobotanists to cultivate potent psychedelic fruiting bodies and create their own prints.
Psilocybe Cubensis Hawaii Mushroom Description
- At harvest, the fruiting bodies are so dense that the substrate is barely visible.
- Caps are light brown (2–7 cm wide), smooth, with a white edge.
- Their shape evolves from dome-shaped to flat. Gills are light gray to black as spores mature.
- Stems are thick, beige, and up to 10 cm long.
- hey may feature white patches (veil remnants), mycelial fuzz at the base, and a white “skirt” (veil remnants).
Psilocybe Cubensis Hawaii was first discovered in the wild on the Hawaiian Islands.
The first spore prints were distributed by PES, a company specializing in entheogenic strains.
Substrate & Colonization
This strain thrives on straw, grains, manure, birdseed, and rice.
Adding horse manure during grain preparation enhances potency.
Colonization takes 7–12 days at 25–30 °C in the dark.
If colonization occurs unevenly, shake the jar to redistribute the spores.
Yield
One liter of colonized substrate can produce up to 280 g of fresh mushrooms in the first flush, and up to 200 g in the second. A 4 kg monotub block can yield 800–1000 g from the first flush.
Yield formula: 20–25% of substrate weight.
Fruiting Conditions
Fruiting occurs at 22–25 °C with indirect light.
Most abundant flushes are the first and second, with up to five in total.
Effects
- Initial signs include slight dizziness and nausea, followed by a gentle yet vivid psychedelic trip.
- Expect shifting visuals, time distortion, and a sense of unity with the cosmos.
Dose:
- Beginner: 2 g dried.
- Experienced: 5–6 g.
Avoid alcohol and opiates 2–3 days before the trip.
Best consumed on an empty stomach for optimal intensity.
