Master Kush Grand has been a staple in Amsterdam's coffeeshops since it first appeared on menus around town. It is a popular mostly Indica cross between Hindu Kush and Skunk. Originally called High Rise, it was later renamed Master Kush Grand. The plant produces a subtle earthy citrus smell during maturation, but the aroma is nearly undetectable during most of its growth. Kush strains, such as Afghan Kush and Hindu Kush, are traditionally cultivated for their high resin production, making them ideal for hand-pressed Charas. Master Kush Grand inherits this ability to produce a high resin content and is highly valued for its medicinal properties.
