Genetics and variety characteristics

The variety is based on the legendary Banana Blaze® and the tried-and-tested autoflowering genetics of Auto Mazar. As a result, Dutch Passion’s breeders have succeeded in creating a robust hybrid that has inherited the hardiness of Afghan strains, resistance to cool weather and a distinctive sweet banana aroma.

The plants form a compact bush with a classic fir-tree shape, sturdy side branches and moderate internode spacing. Thanks to its short life cycle, the strain does not require complex growing methods and is ideal for cultivation indoors, in a greenhouse or outdoors.

Aroma and flavour

The main feature of Auto Banana Blaze® is its rich, dessert-like terpene profile, which is rarely found among autoflowering strains.

The aroma distinctly features:

• ripe banana;

• sweet tropical fruits;

• creamy notes;

• light earthy notes;

• spicy nuances dominated by terpinolene.

The flavour vividly reveals a combination of sweet banana, creamy custard and light woody-earthy undertones. After proper drying and curing, the aroma becomes even richer and deeper.

Effect

Indoors, plants typically reach 75–110 cm, remaining compact, whilst outdoors they rarely exceed 110 cm. The strain tolerates cool weather, moderate temperature fluctuations and minor care errors well.

It is best grown in a final pot with a capacity of 18–27 litres, avoiding repotting and aggressive pruning. To maximise flavour development, many growers prefer organic cultivation.

Yield

Despite its compact size, Auto Banana Blaze® is capable of delivering a respectable yield. Indoors, yields reach 400–500 g/m², whilst outdoors you can harvest 50–100 g per plant. Under favourable conditions, experienced growers often achieve up to 150 g of dense, resinous buds from a single plant.
