Auto Skywalker Haze is currently the most potent autoflower in the Dutch Passion collection. Its potential exceeds that of most photoperiod strains. The seeds were created by crossing Skywalker Haze with Amsterdam Amnesia. Plants typically take about 12 weeks to form a spreading structure with large colas and fragrant, resinous inflorescences.
The genetics of this strain can be traced back to the old-school Amsterdam Sativa family of the Haze line. It is a cross between the local coffeeshop classic Amnesia Haze and another resinous Skywalker Haze strain, which is a cross of Blueberry and Mazar. The strain's roots include exotic Jamaican, Laotian, Thai, Mexican, and Colombian sativas, as well as Afghan indica landraces.
The inflorescence contains predominantly beta-myrcene (27.9%), limonene (27.9%), beta-caryophyllene (18%), linalool (18%), and beta-pinene (6%). Auto Skywalker Haze has a pungent and fruity aroma. The inflorescences are incredibly hard and have an intense lemon scent, complemented by sweeter and spicier tones, as well as light accents of fresh grass, pine, and sandalwood.
Germination took only three days, and the producers noted a high percentage of germination - most seeds developed a small root 2-3 cm long. During the growing season, the plants developed a strong stem, short internodes, and long lateral branches. The leaves had a dense structure and turned dark green. In the 7th week, bud ovaries appeared.
Development accelerated in the 8th week, and by the 9th week, the inflorescences became rounded. Resin production peaked between the 9th and 12th weeks, filling the rooms with the intense, acidic aroma of Haze. By the beginning of week 12, the inflorescences were already quite large, but not yet fully mature. The flowers still had time to become hardier as white stigmas remained on them.
In the last two weeks, the branches had grown large inflorescences and the stigmas had turned orange. The fan leaves had little resin, but the small leaves surrounding the flowers had many resinous trichomes. The plants were washed for 12-14 days to remove excess nutrients and aid in further maturation.
Breeders did not need to use SCRoG netting or other height control techniques such as LST or super-cropping due to the bushy structure of Auto Skywalker Haze. Most phenotypes did not exceed 50 cm in height and did not expand much in width. Inflorescences were typically 20-25 cm long, with the largest and most voluminous colas extending to 30-35 cm.
Trimming the flowers was very easy due to the few leaves. The aroma was strong, so the breeders used charcoal filters. The production cycle lasted 12 weeks. Two phenotypes were discovered during production that required 13 weeks to mature fully (14-15 weeks in colder and wetter regions). Each plant weighs approximately 110g when dry.
