During one of his trips, Dutch Passion’s head of genetics discovered a unique Gelato phenotype that immediately stood out for its sweet, candy-like aroma, beautiful bluish-purple leaves, and incredibly dense buds completely covered in trichomes. The flavor proved to be just as impressive—rich, creamy, and fruity, perfectly complementing the rich aroma.

This phenotype became the foundation of a new project and was crossed with the legendary Sherbet, known for its high yield, rich terpene profile, and powerful relaxing effect. The strain’s name is also symbolic: “Mokum” is the old name for Amsterdam in Yiddish and Hebrew, and the new hybrid’s aroma reminded the breeders of a sweet-smelling red tulip—one of the symbols of the Netherlands.
