Northern Light is a well-known strain that is 100% Indica. It is praised for its resinous buds, fast flowering, and resilience during growth. It is descended from heirloom Afghani landrace varieties and is one of the three fundamental breeding strains used to create famous hybrids such as Sour Diesel, Shiva Skunk, Super Silver Haze, and Silver Pearl. This plant set the standard by which other Indica varieties are still judged today. It dominated various harvest festivals for more than a decade due to its pungently sweet and spicy aroma that radiates from the crystal-coated buds. Harvest times are extremely short, taking only 45 to 50 days.
This strain is predominantly Indica, with a Sativa content of only 10%.
Its THC levels range from 19-24%.
