Frisian Duck® is a unique feminized strain from Dutch Passion that has become a real find for outdoor and greenhouse growers. Its main feature is the unusual shape of its leaves, which resemble a duck’s footprint. Thanks to this, the plant isn’t immediately recognizable as cannabis and blends harmoniously into the surrounding vegetation. At the same time, the strain combines high yields, excellent resistance to adverse weather conditions, and a pleasant, balanced effect.

Genetics and Origin

This strain was created by crossing the famous Frisian Dew with a rare DucksFoot line. From its first parent, Frisian Duck® inherited vigorous growth, resilience, and the ability to form large buds, while from the second, it inherited the unique leaf shape that provides natural camouflage. Years of selective breeding have allowed these traits to be stabilized, resulting in a consistent, reliable hybrid.

Aroma and flavor

Frisian Duck® has a mild yet memorable aroma. It harmoniously blends notes of fresh forest, pine needles, citrus, and ripe berries. Some phenotypes may exhibit a more pronounced fruity or lemony character. The flavor is smoky and slightly spicy, with a pleasant pine-citrus aftertaste.

Appearance

The plants form a beautiful “Christmas tree” structure with robust side branches. The unusual leaves, with membranes between the segments, serve as natural camouflage. During flowering, the plants are covered with large, resinous buds, many of which take on striking purple hues.

Growing Characteristics

Frisian Duck® is ideal for outdoor cultivation and greenhouses, where it fully realizes its potential. The strain tolerates cold, rain, and brief periods of heat well; it is resistant to mold and does not require complex care. Thanks to their sturdy stems, the plants usually do not need staking. If desired, you can use light LST or a single pinch to encourage bushier growth.

To achieve maximum yield, it is recommended to start the seedlings indoors for 4–6 weeks. When planted outdoors, the plants should be provided with ample space and fertile, well-aerated soil.
